2024 fitness program for Vivo’s Competitive fencers. It’s Fit to Fence. Maestro Kornel manages this program for you!
This is for fencers signing up to start Spring 2024. This is a critical program for physical preparation so your fencers to be able to succeed in competition. Fitness, physical capability, and endurance are all critical. This program that will create an efficient and effective opportunity to follow an exercise program that will benefit each participant’s fencing.
What are the benefits:
• Kids will be more physically ready to practice and compete.
• Kids will get introduced to a healthy lifestyle early on.
• Participants can gain more confidence on and off the strip as they grow stronger.
• The program is efficient as there is no commuting to exercise classes.
• Physical readiness will directly impact the fencing.
How will it work for your fencer: Custom Set Up/DIY Exercise at Home/In-Person Check-Ins at the Club
I. Custom Exercise Plan: This will be set up in a custom way for each participating fencer.
• A detailed exercise plan and instructions will be set up for each fencer. A schedule will be created, considering school and fencing schedules.
II. At home exercise: 2-3 times a week the fencer will follow their program at home. We will find out what equipment and space you have and take this into account. This is the DIY portion of the program. There will be a monitoring spreadsheet and the fencer, and a parent can “group text” to log each work out. Any questions or concerns can also be addressed this way or by email.
• This will start at 30 minutes initially, 2-3 times a week.
III. In-person check-ins once or twice a month at the club on Saturdays before Open Fencing. There will be shifts made in the workout program monthly and a progress report made every 2 months, based on competition schedules.
What is the cost:
The monthly cost is $125. This is an add-on program. The amount will be billed at the beginning of each month. Maximum benefit will be realized when the fencers participate on a regular and on-going basis.
And to note: This program is to happen outside of the fencer’s class and lesson times. It is an optional add-on program that we hope many competitive fencers will take advantage of. More emphasis on fencing during the fencing classes will be an added bonus!
